It is definitely not easy  to be a good chess player, forget a great one. But with practice and strategy, one can do well. Chess may not be a wildly popular game such as baseball or basketball, but it has gained a lot of respect in the whole world because of the intelligence involved.

There are many regulations that decide who the Chess Grandmaster is going to be. At present, the regulations are a little too complex.

Talks of abolishing the title has been going on for some time. Some players have spoken out against the title because they are of the opinion that the title does not really differentiate between low rate players and really great players. Though no decision has been taken yet, chances of the title being off are few.

The Chess Grandmaster has the honor of the world of chess. In India, Vishwanathan Anand has been honored with the title of Chess Grandmaster and still enjoys the status that comes with it.
